A Spooktacular Night: Little Stars’ Ball Raises Over £6,000!
This Halloween, Little Stars hosted a magical event full of mystery, music, and generosity at our Halloween Ball. We’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible support from everyone who attended, we raised an impressive £6,139—funds that will make a real difference to our charity. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from this unforgettable evening.
An Atmosphere of Mystery and Anticipation
As guests arrived, at the beautiful Albright Hussey Manor, they stepped into an eerie, smoke-filled entrance bathed in red lighting, perfectly setting the Halloween scene. Our trustee Sadie had done an incredible job decorating the venue with spooky surprises, filling every corner with atmosphere and intrigue. Our photographer captured fantastic outfits and big smiles as guests posed on arrival. Kicking off the evening, guests enjoyed a special “Ghouls’ Night Out” cocktail, adding a spooky flair. The ball brought together an amazing mix of people: corporate supporters like Aico, Start Tech, and St Winefride’s School; long-time donors; friends and families; and new supporters, all ready to enjoy a night filled with community spirit.
After the welcome drinks, our founder and CEO, Leanne, took to the stage to share the remarkable impact that Little Stars has achieved since starting out. Leanne highlighted the growing need for support in Shropshire, reminding everyone of the real difference their contributions make. Her words set a meaningful tone for the evening, inspiring everyone to dig deep in support of our mission.
A Hauntingly Delicious Dinner and Sweet Surprises
The evening featured a delicious three-course meal with a Halloween twist! Guests enjoyed a hearty pumpkin soup to start, a spiced chicken arrabbiata for the main, and a ghostly Eton Mess cheesecake to finish. Our spooky-themed sweet cart added an extra touch of Halloween fun, offering treats for those with a sweet tooth.
Evening Entertainment: Music, Dancing, and Mystical Moments
Entertainment was at the heart of the night, with a live band and DJ keeping the dance floor buzzing. Our talented tarot and palm readers added a mystical touch, staying busy all evening with guests eager to hear their fortunes. It was a fantastic blend of fun and mystery, with something for everyone to enjoy.
Raffle Highlights and Fundraising Success
One of the evening’s highlights was our raffle, featuring an impressive array of prizes, from Tanners Wine to gin distillery tours, restaurant meals, and exciting activity days. Thanks to the generosity of our prize donors and the enthusiastic participation of our guests, the raffle raised a significant portion of the night’s funds, helping us reach our fundraising goal.
