Axis Foundation Boosts Little Stars Community Hubs Project with £4,000 Grant

Little Stars recently received a generous grant of £4,000 from the Axis Foundation to strengthen our Community Hubs Project. This funding is specifically allocated to ensure a year’s supply of essential baby items like nappies, wipes, and toiletries.

The Community Hubs Project, initiated by Little Stars in response to an escalating demand for our services, has proven to be an invaluable resource for communities in need. Currently operating through four hubs, in collaboration with Early Help teams and family practitioners, these hubs serve as a lifeline for families seeking access to essential items for their little ones.

Expressing gratitude, Leanne Simcoe, Founder and CEO of Little Stars, acknowledged the importance of the Axis Foundation’s support in sustaining our community hub initiatives- ” To receive this amazing amount of money from Axis foundation has ensured we can continue our community hub work, providing families with the essentials they need for their children. Our hub work is extremely important because we are out in the communities that are in need of this support, the money will enable us to expand our hubs as we now have the funds to be able to deliver the essentials that babies and young children really need. Thank you to the board for providing us with this grant.”

The Axis Foundation’s commitment to supporting small, local, and impactful causes is evident in their contribution to improving the lives of the underprivileged, disadvantaged, and vulnerable. Established in 2008, the foundation has supported 285 causes over the last 15 years, contributing a total of 2.3 million.

Little Stars extends our appreciation to the Axis Foundation for their support, recognizing the crucial role this funding plays in our mission to provide essential support to families in need. With the Axis Foundation’s backing, Little Stars can continue expanding our reach, making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
