Celebrating Little Stars’ CEO at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2025

Our Founder and CEO, Leanne Simcoe, attended the Best Business Women Awards 2025 after being shortlisted as a finalist in the Charity Champion category and what an incredible experience it was!

Leanne said:

“It was an absolute honour and privilege to be shortlisted amongst such amazing and inspiring women, and whilst I did not win overall to come away with a silver award means the world to me. Having an award representing the field I work in but also being recognised for the work I have done building Little Stars is extremely special as there are not many opportunities for Charity’s to be recognised in this way”.

The tenacity, creativity, and resilience of female entrepreneurs truly took centre stage at the awards. Each finalist, carefully selected by an expert panel of judges from hundreds of entries, showcased exceptional innovation, strong leadership, and a passion for their industry, plus an unwavering drive to succeed.

Debbie Gilbert, founder and organiser of the Awards, said:

“Running a business is both exhilarating and challenging. These awards were established to recognise and celebrate the women who are visionary leaders, who step forward with passion and determination. Our judging process is rigorous, and earning a place among our winners is a significant achievement. Each of our winners are incredible women who have demonstrated exceptional skill, innovation, and commitment to excellence. They truly embody what it means to be an outstanding entrepreneur”.

We’re so proud of Leanne for founding Little Stars and for all she has achieved so far, building a charity that continues to make a real difference for children and families across Shropshire.

We’d also like to congratulate Patricia Muirhead of Ashdon Jazz Academy, on winning the Gold Award.
