Kicking Off 2025 with Creativity, Music, and Support
We’re thrilled to share the success of our first two fundraising events of 2025, both of which brought people together, raised vital funds, and helped shine a light on the work Little Stars does to support families across Shropshire.
A Night of Art and Heart: Paint & Sip with The Art Mixer
Valentine’s Day saw our first ever Paint & Sip event, hosted by The Art Mixer at Floro Lounge in Shrewsbury. The evening was a joyful celebration of creativity and connection. Our hosts, Roger and Jo, brought the event to life: Roger serenaded us with live music while Jo led a step-by-step art tutorial, guiding everyone through a beautiful painting inspired by Starry Night by Van Gogh.
Our Operations Manager Hannah and Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator Chantal joined in on the fun and had an absolute blast painting (and sipping!). It was a beautiful evening that brought people together for a wonderful cause, raising £170 to support our work with local families.
Singalongs, Surprises & Support: Musical Bingo at The Alb
In April, we hosted our third Musical Bingo fundraiser at The Alb in Shrewsbury, and what a night it was! There was singing, dancing, laughter and some fierce competition.
This year’s event also featured our first ever auction, with some fantastic prizes donated by our brilliant supporters, including:

With the entire Little Stars team in attendance, it was a night to remember and thanks to everyone who came along, we raised an incredible £1,055!
We also officially launched our new ‘Starry Nights’ cocktail in collaboration with The Alb. This delicious drink will be available on the menu throughout the summer, with 50p
from each cocktail sold going directly to support our work with families across Shropshire. So if you missed the event, there’s still time to sip for a cause!

These events are just the start. We’ve got plenty more planned this year: from scenic hikes and half marathons to community walks and creative events all raising vital funds to help us support even more families in Shropshire.
