Little Stars awarded £60,000 from Postcode Community Trust
We are delighted to share that in August 2026, Little Stars was awarded a grant of £60,000 over two years from Postcode Community Trust, as part of the Millionaire Street funding programme, made possible thanks to Postcode Lottery players.
Every month, good causes close to the winning Millionaire Street postcodes share £1 million in grant funding, raised by Postcode Lottery players and awarded by Postcode Community Trust. The funding is unrestricted, which means we can direct it wherever the need is greatest for local families.
As a small but growing charity, funding like this makes a real difference. Two years of support gives us the confidence to plan ahead and keep our focus where it matters most: making sure families across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin can get the essentials they need.
What this funding means for families
A safe place for a baby to sleep, warm clothing and everyday toiletries are things many of us take for granted. For families facing hardship, they can feel completely out of reach.
Families are referred to us by the professionals who support them, and we provide the essentials they need, from safe sleep equipment to clothing and toiletries. None of this would be possible without our warehouse, which sits at the heart of everything we do. This grant will help cover core running costs like these, so we can keep doing what we already do, day in, day out.
Demand for our support continues to rise, and this funding means we can keep being there for families when they need it most.
