Little Stars chosen as one of the Mayor of Shrewsbury’s charities

We’re proud to share that Little Stars has been chosen as one of the Mayor of Shrewsbury’s charities for the year ahead; a real honour for our small but growing charity.

In April, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Mayor to our HQ to see our work first-hand. It was lovely to show him around, introduce him to the team, and share more about the families we support across Shropshire and the difference our work makes day to day. We’re incredibly grateful for his time and his genuine interest in our charity.

This year’s mayoral theme focuses on partnerships, activities and sport to help improve health and wellbeing, values that sit closely with our own. At Little Stars, we see every day how access to essential items can make a real and lasting difference to a family’s wellbeing in a very practical way, and we know how much community collaboration shapes positive outcomes for the children and families we support.

We’re also delighted to be working alongside the other charities chosen for the mayoral year: Lingen Davies Cancer Support, Shrewsbury Town Foundation and Shropshire Mental Health Support.

On May 11th, Our Founder and CEO, Leanne, was honoured to attend the Mayor Making ceremony, a wonderful occasion marking the start of the new mayoral year.

We’re really looking forward to the months ahead; collaborating on events, building new connections, and bringing the Shrewsbury community together in support of local families. Thank you to the Mayor for this wonderful opportunity.
