Little Stars Receives an amazing £20,000 Grant from The National Lottery Community Fund

We are thrilled to announce that Little Stars has been awarded a £20,000 grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. This generous funding will significantly bolster our efforts to support vulnerable families in Shropshire, particularly through our new shop in Shrewsbury.

Impact of the Grant

This grant is a game-changer for our project. A portion of the money will be allocated toward employing a dedicated shop Manager. This role is crucial for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the shop, ensuring that older children and pregnant women who have been referred to us can browse and select their own clothing with ease. The manager will also be a key resource for our team of volunteers, providing them with the guidance and support they need to assist our beneficiaries effectively.

Further Support

This grant will also help cover essential costs related to volunteer support and marketing, enabling us to reach more families in need. The shop, which offers quality children’s clothing and maternity wear at affordable prices, fills a unique niche in Shrewsbury and has quickly become an important resource for local families.

Acknowledgement

The National Lottery Community Fund supports projects that help communities thrive, and we are honoured to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation. Their commitment to empowering local initiatives is instrumental in helping us make a lasting impact. This funding will enable us to support even more children, alleviating significant financial pressure for local families.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, this grant will ensure that our shop becomes a cornerstone of support in Shrewsbury, offering not just essential items but also a sense of community to those who need it most.

Gratitude

We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery players for making this possible and to The National Lottery Community Fund for their continued support of grassroots initiatives.
