Tesco's Stronger Starts Campaign Boosts Little Stars' Community Hubs with £1,000 Grant
07 Mar 2024

Little Stars is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous £1,000 grant from Tesco's Stronger Starts campaign, providing significant support to our Community Hubs Project. This funding is a crucial step forward for Little Stars as we continue to expand our community project, which has been gaining momentum and making a positive impact this year.

The Community Hubs Project, initiated by Little Stars in response to the growing demand for our services, stands as a valuable resource for communities in need. Currently operating through four hubs in collaboration with Early Help teams and family practitioners, these hubs serve as essential support for families looking for access to crucial items, such as wipes, nappies, and toiletries for their little ones. We have also recently partnered with Shrewsbury Food Bank to provide hubs that focus on access to school uniforms ensuring every child is able to go to school and fit in with their peers.

Expressing gratitude, Hannah Stoddart, project coordinator of Little Stars, highlighted the importance of Tesco's and their shoppers' support in sustaining our community hub initiatives: "We are so grateful to Tesco for selecting us for the Stronger Starts campaign. It is fantastic to have gained support from Tesco's shoppers for our project. Thanks to everyone who voted for us; this funding will go a long way in helping us reach more families through our community hub work."

Tesco's commitment to supporting small, local, and impactful causes is evident. Collaborating with Groundwork, they have supported over 50,000 local projects with grants exceeding £100 million since 2016. Recognizing that young people are crucial to the future of our communities, Tesco is providing 1 million children with a Stronger Start at life.

Little Stars extends sincere appreciation to Tesco for their support, recognising the crucial role this funding plays in our mission to provide essential support to families in need. With Tesco's support, Little Stars is poised to continue expanding our reach and making a tangible and positive impact on the communities we are devoted to serving.
