Young Helpers with Big Hearts: St. Winefrides’ Mini Vinnies at Little Stars

We’ve had some very special visitors at the Little Stars Shop this month: three fantastic groups of children from St. Winefrides Independent RC School, all part of the wonderful Mini Vinnies group.

Across three separate days, the Mini Vinnies joined our team to lend a helping hand, and we were blown away by their energy, enthusiasm, and hard work. From sorting through donations and labelling clothing to restocking rails, the children got stuck in and really made a difference.

It was such a joy to watch them learn about the work we do and to see their excitement in helping families in their local community. Their positive attitudes and willingness to get involved made them a real asset to the shop, and we’re so grateful they chose to spend their time with us.

It was also lovely to see some of the parents pop into the shop to see the children in action and to support us by purchasing a few items while they were there. Some of the teachers also got involved, showing just how strong and supportive the school community is.

But that’s not all, St. Winefrides School has been a huge supporter of Little Stars in many ways, including organising donation collections to help ensure we have plenty of essentials available for the families we support. Their ongoing kindness and generosity mean the world to us.

We’re looking forward to further collaborations later this year, when the children will take part in our Wear Stars 4 Little Stars Week, helping us raise awareness and vital funds to continue supporting families across Shropshire.

Thank you to every Mini Vinnies, and to the team at St. Winefrides, for being such brilliant supporters of our mission to help families across Shropshire.
