What we do to help families in shropshire
At Little Stars, we exist to make sure no baby or child goes without the essentials they need to be safe, warm, and cared for at all stages of childhood.
We are a baby bank – but also so much more. Through a growing range of programmes, campaigns, and community partnerships, we deliver real, practical support to families across Shropshire who are struggling with poverty, crisis, or hardship. We believe every child deserves a strong start, and no parent should face the fear of not being able to provide.
Our work begins with compassion and ends in action. Every day, we receive generous donations from people who want to make a difference – baby clothes, nappies, toiletries, cots, prams, blankets, and bedding. These items are sorted with care, packed with consideration, and delivered through a trusted network of health visitors, social workers, and support teams to families who have nowhere else to turn.
Baby Bank
The Baby Bank supports parents with essential items such as moses baskets, cots and baby baths along with clothing, nappies, wipes and toiletries for their little ones.
Tots to Teens
We support children up to the age of 13 years with essential developmental, hygiene, clothing and nighttime items such as toys, stairgates, highchairs, bedding and toiletries.
Cool for School
Cool for School helps children fit in with their peers and removes one of the possible barriers of them attending school.
We support by providing non branded uniform items throughout the year.
Santa’s Little Stars
This initiative enables referral services to hand out wrapped age-appropriate Christmas presents to children all over the county ensuring every child has something to smile about on Christmas Day.
Our work is made possible entirely by the kindness of others. Every donated hoodie, every bottle of shampoo, every pound raised makes a real difference.
